
Prepare the apples by peeling and cutting them into large pieces. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix wet ingredients in a bowl: beat eggs, add sugar, vanilla, melted butter, and yogurt.
Combine dry ingredients in a separate bowl: flour and baking powder. Add to wet ingredients.
Grease a baking dish, pour ⅔ of the batter, arrange apple pieces, and pour remaining batter over them.
Bake at 180°C (360°F) for about 40 minutes until golden brown and risen.
Brush warm pie with peach or apricot jam for a glossy finish.
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
