
Prep the beef – Cut the silverside into large chunks, season with salt and pepper, and sear in a hot pan. You can skip this step, but it helps seal in the flavour.
Slow cook – Add everything to your slow cooker except the potatoes and cook on high for 6 hours, or until the beef is tender and falling apart.
Make the mash – Boil the potatoes until soft, then mash them. Fry some spring onions and cabbage for crunch, then stir in the butter, milk, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Serve & enjoy – This recipe makes 3-4 portions, so adjust the potatoes if needed.
