Marie Catrib's Famous Coleslaw
  1. Place cut vegetables in a large metal bowl.

  2. Combine dressing ingredients in stock pot.

  3. Cook dressing for about 10 minutes, whisking often until sugar is dissolved and pot begins to bubble around edges.

  4. While it's hot, pour over veggies.

  5. Allow to slightly cool.

  6. Mix carefully by hand using gloves.

  7. Refrigerate and mix occasionally for a few hours before serving.
