Homemade Crumpets Recipe
  1. Combine the warm water and yeast in a bowl, leave for 5 mins

  2. Add everything else and whisk together until smooth, (add extra water if needed to get the consistency in the video) leave the batter to stand for around 10 mins

  3. Heat a frying pan with a little bit of vegan butter in it. Smoother your crumpet rings with butter too then pop into the pan

  4. Fill each ¾ full with your batter then cook on medium high for 2 mins. The batter should bubble and pop.

  5. Reduce the heat to low and cook until the tops are set then flip over.

  6. Once lightly browned remove from the pan and allow to cool before buttering your crumpets and enjoying!!
