Homemade Pizza Dough
  1. In stand mixer bowl, add 1 cup flour, yeast, salt; mix well. Add warm water and oil to flour mixture. Using a paddle attachment, blend on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes.

  2. Switch to dough hook attachment. Gradually stir in enough remaining flour to make a firm dough. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 5 to 7 minutes.(NOTE: For hand mixing: following above steps, mix ingredients in large mixing bowl using a wooden spoon or dough whisk. Knead on floured surface until smooth and elastic.)

  3. Cover and let dough rest 15 minutes.

  4. Divide dough into 2 equal parts. Press each half into a generously greased 12-inch round pizza pan sprinkled with cornmeal.

  5. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  6. Pre-bake for 10-12 minutes until edges of crust begin to turn light golden brown. Add desired toppings and bake an additional 15 minutes.
