Laab Recipe
  1. For the rice powder: In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the rice until golden brown and nutty smelling. Let cool slightly, then grind into a fine powder.

  2. For the laab: Cook the ground meat in a large pan on medium heat. Add the broth if needed. Once cooked, add sugar, scallions, chilies, and salt. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. In a bowl, combine the cooked meat with red onion, herbs, lime juice, fish sauce, rice powder, and green cabbage. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  4. Serve on lettuce leaves or in a separate bowl. Garnish with more rice powder and chili slices.
