  1. Preheat oven to 350*F

  2. Brown and season ground beef. Drain excess grease.

  3. Mix most or all of the jar of pasta sauce and tomato paste with the seasoned ground beef. Add a little water (like ¼ cup). Let it simmer on low while doing the next step.

  4. Mix together ricotta and shredded cheese.

  5. In an 8 or 9 inch square pan, start layering the components in the order of meat, noodles, and ricotta. Break noodles as needed to fit. End with a layer of sauce. (2-3 layers, careful not to overfill)

  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.

  7. Cover with foil and bake for 30 min.

  8. Uncover and bake another 10-15 minutes until done
