Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl
Combine the liquid ingredients
Before mixing both together in a batter, dip fish in some of the reserved dry mixture just to lightly coat each side
Place coated fish on a plate
Then make batter, by mixing both wet and dry mixtures well
Dip fish in batter to coat well
Carefully drop pieces into hot deep oil, fry just a few pieces at a time not crowding fish when frying
Turn each side once until golden brown.
Place pieces on absorbent toweling paper to drain
Serve immediately
