Ingredients:
Dry
2 cups all purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup, frozen butter, grated
Wet
⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
⅓ cup heavy cream
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
One cup of Craisins, blueberries, chocolate chips, or other choice of add in.
Method
Preheat oven to 400°
Baking sheet with with parchment paper
Mix dry ingredients together
Great in frozen butter, then cut with a pastry blender
Whisk wet ingredients. Stir into the dry, adding in your choice of fruit. Fold this mixture together.
Pat dough into a 8 inch circle. Cut into wedges.
Bake 16 to 18 minutes, until golden.
Glaze
1 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons milk
Blend and drizzle over cooled scones
Variations
Orange - Use orange juice instead of vanilla and orange zest in the glaze
