  1. Preheat oven to 350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Mix together the starter, slightly cooled melted butter, and seasonings until well combined.

  3. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper and spread as evenly and thinly as you can. Nearly translucent is the goal.

  4. Sprinkle the top with flake salt. Adjust more or less based on the seasonings you've added to the mixture already.

  5. Bake at 350F for 10 minutes.

  6. Take the baking sheet out of the oven and cut the dough into crackers of your desired shape and size. A pizza cutter makes this easy, but a knife will work.

  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven for another 15-25 minutes. Watch the crackers carefully after about 15 minutes as the thinner areas may begin to brown and burn. Continue baking until they are golden and firm to touch.

    Tip: if some areas are done but others are not, remove the done ones and put the rest back in for a few minutes at a time until they're done.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool.

  9. If you have any left to store, keep them in an airtight container.
