Flour Tortillas
  1. Put the flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and mix together.

  2. Add the vegetable oil and mix in.

  3. Gradually add the hot water, mixing until a sticky dough forms.

  4. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until it becomes less sticky.

  5. Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  6. Divide the dough into 12-14 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.

  7. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each ball into a thin tortilla.

  8. Cook the tortillas on a hot griddle or skillet for 10-12 seconds per side.
