▢ 1.5 lbs stew beef
▢ 3 tablespoon olive oil
▢ 2 cups cabbage chopped
▢ 1 tablespoon tomato paste
▢ 1 red bell pepper
▢ 1 green onion
▢ 2 garlic cloves
▢ ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
▢ 1 teaspoon bouillon powder
▢ 1 teaspoon thyme
▢ 1 teaspoon of fish sauce
▢ 1 teaspoon salt to taste
▢ 4 cups beef broth
▢ pinch of black pepper for browning the meat
Chop the cabbage, green onion, garlic and bell pepper.
Cut the beef into small pieces
In a soup pot, add olive oil and beef.
Add a pinch of salt and black pepper and stir the beef till it is browned.
Add the green onion and garlic and stir until softened.
Add the red bell pepper, tomato paste, and all the spices.
Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer covered until beef is tender.
Add the cabbage and cook for 5 - 10 minutes until soft.
